Using Area of service, she views all of the service providers that are available within required proximity from the location of customer. Based on proximity search, line-of-sight distance and travel distance, she comes to know which of the service provider is nearest to the customer. Based on this, she assigns a route to service provider to reach the customer. With the help of area of service, she can also visualize regions on map for which service providers are responsible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this blog, we will see how to add area of service section in record form so as to get the above mentioned results. In order to achieve this, follow the steps given below:<\/p>\n<h3>Area of Service tab<\/h3>\n<p>To add Area of Service tab, open Entity form and go to \u2018Insert\u2019 tab. Click on Web Resource button, as shown in the screenshot.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15618\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/1Area-of-Service-feature.png\" alt=\"Area of Service feature\" width=\"596\" height=\"127\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15619\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/2Area-of-Service-feature.png\" alt=\"Area of Service feature\" width=\"529\" height=\"591\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Add Web Resource dialog box, select <strong><em>\u201cikl_\/Maplytics\/Maplytics.AutoSearchFilters.html\u201d<\/em><\/strong> web resource and check \u2018Pass record object-type\u2019 checkbox.<\/p>\n<p><em>The preferred number of rows in formatting is 15.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong><em>OK<\/em><\/strong>, then <strong><em>Save and publish<\/em><\/strong> form to see the Map on entity form.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Create an Area of Service field<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To save the values entered in Area of Service field, user needs to create a field for the Entity for which Area of Service has been added. <strong><em>Go to Entity form &gt; New field<\/em><\/strong>. Enter the following values:<\/p>\n<p><em>Name &#8211; Area of Service<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Data type \u2013 Multiple Line of Text<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Maximum Length \u2013 10000<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Select the same field in respective Entity map for Area of Service field.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15620\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/3Area-of-Service-feature.png\" alt=\"Area of Service feature\" width=\"1119\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this way, the corresponding data will be plotted on map when values are entered and saved into Area of Service field.<\/p>\n<h3>View Area of Service data on a map<\/h3>\n<p>There are two ways to view Area of Service data on map, they are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using Map button \u2013 the results are shown in a map which opens in a different tab<\/li>\n<li>Adding Detail map on form \u2013 the results are shown in a map added to the same record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Using Map button<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The user can open Detail map to view the corresponding Area of Service data plotted on map. This will open the result plotted from search criteria entered in Area of Service in a map opened using the button.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15621\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/4Area-of-Service-feature.png\" alt=\"Area of Service feature\" width=\"1145\" height=\"131\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Adding Detail map on form<\/h3>\n<p>To add Detail map to show Area of Service data, follow the steps mentioned below:<\/p>\n<p>Open Entity form and go to \u2018Insert\u2019 tab. Add two columns.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15622\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/5Area-of-Service-feature.jpg\" alt=\"Area of Service feature\" width=\"595\" height=\"138\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click OK, then Save and publish the form to see Map on Entity form.<\/p>\n<p>After adding Area of Service tab in entity form, follow the steps mentioned below to add Detail map on entity form.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To add Detail map, click on \u2018Web Resource\u2019 button. In Add Web Resource dialog box, select <em>\u201c<strong>ikl_\/Maplytics\/Maplytics.DetailMap.html<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> web resource, add \u201cform\u201d as custom parameter (data) and check \u2018Pass record object-type\u2019 checkbox as shown in the screenshot. User can choose either of the search options &#8211; Region or Proximity, to visualize records within the proximity of respective Account or to visualise the regions entered.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This feature will help the users to get an understanding of data in regards to an individual record.
