And in our latest release, we have worked on its user interface as well to make working on Maplytics in your Dynamics 365 more interactive and pleasant. Now our users will be able to use the Detail map with the new UI in the latest Maplytics solution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the Detail map, users get 5 search options to select the criteria on how they want to plot the data on the map. These are By Location, By Region, By Drawing, By Territory and By Template.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here\u2019s a quick description of all the search options below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>By Location:<\/strong> Plot CRM records based on the addresses (Latitude and Longitude values) in the records.<br \/>\n<strong>By Region:<\/strong> Plot data within the required region on the map. For example, plot data that belongs to the state of Georgia, USA.<br \/>\n<strong>By Drawing:<\/strong> User can use the drawing tool and draw a shape on the map to plot data belonging to that shape.<br \/>\n<strong>By Territory:<\/strong> Plot territories and records that are assigned to the selected territories.<br \/>\n<strong>By Template:<\/strong> If the user needs to work on some resultant data of particular search criteria, they can search the required data once, save it as a template and plot the template directly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the System admin\/Maplytics admin doesn\u2019t want to provide access to all the search options to the users, they can select the required search options within the settings. To do this, go to <strong><em>Maplytics App &gt; Settings &gt; Maplytics Configuration Details &gt; Default configuration detail record (the one with no user) &gt; Advanced Settings &gt; Search Options &gt; Select\/deselect the search options as per the requirement. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;18346&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_outline&#8221; border_color=&#8221;black&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;18347&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_outline&#8221; border_color=&#8221;black&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We will discuss all of these five Search options one by one in each of our subsequent blogs. Let\u2019s start with the first search option, \u2018By Location\u2019 in this blog. As the name suggests, \u2018By Location\u2019 will help the user to plot the records based on the Latitude and Longitude values of the records. Along with this option, user can also search for the nearby records using the feature of Proximity search. Let\u2019s understand this feature with a use case.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stephane has recently opened a new branch of his business \u2018Eyeara\u2019 in West Drayton, England which sells spectacles and goggles. As they already had many customers there, they are offering a 30 % off coupon on purchase to the existing customers which they can redeem by visiting the store and showing the coupon at the reception. To do this, Stephane goes to the<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Detail map to see the existing customers on the map. Stephane uses the icon<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/image003.png\" alt=\"Location\" width=\"43\" height=\"40\" \/>to search for records By Location. He selects the Accounts as the entity and the required view to plot the respective records of the selected view. This way, he is able to see all of his existing customers from the view plotted on the map as pushpins based on the addresses of those records.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;18355&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_outline&#8221; border_color=&#8221;black&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]He can also click on the \u2018+\u2019 icon below the \u2018Select Datasource\u2019 option to choose a maximum of 3 entities and their respective views to visualize them together.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;18356&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_outline&#8221; border_color=&#8221;black&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Now that he is able to view all the records in the area, he can simply right click on his new store\u2019s location and sets it as Current Location. Then he enters a radius of 4 miles in the space within Proximity and clicks on search.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;18350&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_outline&#8221; border_color=&#8221;black&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This shows all the records that lie within 4 miles radius of the store\u2019s location.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;18351&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_outline&#8221; border_color=&#8221;black&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; img_link_target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;][vc_column_text]He now opens the \u2018View data grid\u2019 and goes to \u2018Mass actions\u2019 to select the option of \u2018Send email\u2019.
