She can also choose the option of \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.maplytics.com\/features\/territory-management\/by-overlay\"><strong>By Overlay<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u2019<\/strong> to plot a saved shape\/excel file on the map.<\/p>\n<p>Using the option <strong>\u2018Plot Records Card\u2019<\/strong> and selecting the required \u2018<strong>DataSource\u2019<\/strong> and the respective \u2018<strong>View\u2019<\/strong> to plot the same on the map, these records will be distributed among the territories that are to be created.<\/p>\n<p>The options of \u2018<strong>Select\u2019<\/strong> or \u2018<strong>Multi-select<\/strong>\u2019 from the <strong>\u2018Alignment Tool\u2019<\/strong> allow choosing the required regions and selecting the option of <strong>\u2018Create Territory\u2019<\/strong> to open the window. Here, Sophie can select the option to <strong>\u2018Create Multiple Territories\u2019<\/strong> and enter the number of territories she wants to create out of the selected regions on the map.
