Geocoding is the process of transforming the address of a location to geo coordinates (latitude and longitude). \u00a0The geocoded records in Dynamics CRM can then be plotted on a map using Maplytics for insightful spatial analysis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To make the process of geocoding with Bing Maps seamless and hassle-free, Maplytics ships with the Geocoding Workflow to geocode Dynamics CRM data for Account, Lead, and Contact entities and can be further extended to any other OOB or custom entity. Maplytics will extract the geo-coordinates of the record even if the address is partial!<\/p>\n

The user can also define when to trigger the workflow, for example, upon a new record creation. This will ensure that data points are geocoded in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement whenever a new record is created.<\/p>\n
