Here in this blog will see how to create a query for individual Maplytics dashboards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following screenshot shows the dashboard which we had created in our earlier blog. This Dynamics CRM dashboard is created for a sales rep on the basis of his daily needs. It shows the data into four parameters &#8211; My Appointments, My today\u2019s route, my open opportunities and sales by postal code.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6107\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" title=\"Map Integration Dynamics CRM\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/1Steps-to-create-queries-for-Maplytics-dashboards-of-your-Dynamics-CRM-data.jpg\" alt=\"Map Integration Dynamics CRM\" width=\"863\" height=\"398\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each of the parameter that shows the data plotted on the map is an individual Maplytics dashboard created based on that view. The user can create different Maplytics dashboards for various views of data as well. A Dynamics CRM dashboard combines many Maplytics dashboards together in single layout and this results into a Dynamics CRM dashboard providing data with different views to facilitate analysis just as shown in the above screenshot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let us see how to create individual Maplytics dashboard records for different views of the data which are important for a Sales rep. As mentioned in the blog, one needs to add the fetch XML query for a required view for which an individual Maplytics dashboard has to be created, this blog will explain how to get the fetch XML query for different Maplytics dashboard records.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following screenshot shows the dashboard that is created by us in our demo environment for Maplytics. Combining the relevant views of the data, the Dynamics CRM dashboard for a sales rep can be made like this. We need to follow the steps mentioned below:<br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong>. Go to Advanced find and select the following<br \/>\nLook for: Appointments<br \/>\nUse Saved views: My Appointments<br \/>\nHere user can create such a view or even select any other required view from the list.<br \/>\n<strong>2<\/strong>. Also, the address fields should be of the field selected. Make sure that at least of mandatory fields should be selected for the query.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3<\/strong>. Download the generated Fetch XML.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6112 size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" title=\"Dynamics CRM Bing Maps\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/6Steps-to-create-queries-for-Maplytics-dashboards-of-your-Dynamics-CRM-data.jpg\" alt=\"Dynamics CRM Bing Maps\" width=\"824\" height=\"238\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Note: In the queries, when the address data needs to be read from the customer (i.e., it could either hold an account or contact lookup), we need to provide the alias as \u2018maplyticsacc\u2019 when a link to a potential customer (account). For contact give alias as \u2018maplyticscont\u2019 when a link to a potential customer (contact) or If the address data needs to be read from another OOB or custom entities then you need to provide the alias as \u201cmap\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How to provide alias<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The downloaded Fetch XML contains alias for both the Accounts and Contacts. In the Advanced find we need to enter the following filters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>1<\/strong>. Select the following<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Look for: Opportunities<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Use Saved views: My Open Opportunities<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here user can create such a view or even select any other required view from their list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2<\/strong>. Repeat step 2 as mentioned above for the first dashboard: Here an opportunity can be linked to both the Accounts and Contacts, so add the attributes of both the Accounts and Contacts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3<\/strong>. Repeat the step 3 of providing alias as mentioned above.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After adding the query on the Maplytics dashboard form, enter the entity category as the logical name of estimated revenue. Here the logical name for the estimated value is \u2018estimatedvalue\u2019. This will show the data categorized into ranges of estimated value. The user can also edit these ranges into the category configuration. Please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inogic.com\/blog\/2016\/06\/define-colors-for-categories-in-maplytics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click here<\/a> to know how to use Category configuration. This will show the data categorized into various ranges of estimated value as shown below:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6119\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" title=\"Dynamics CRM Maps\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/13Steps-to-create-queries-for-Maplytics-dashboards-of-your-Dynamics-CRM-data.jpg\" alt=\"Dynamics CRM Maps\" width=\"1246\" height=\"666\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sales by postal codes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The last dashboard is Sales by postal codes. In the Advanced find we need to enter the following filters.<br \/>\n<strong>1<\/strong>. Select the following<br \/>\n<strong>2<\/strong>. Look for: Sales<br \/>\nHere user can create a field named sales in the entity record form.<br \/>\n<strong>3<\/strong>. Repeat step 2 as mentioned above for the first dashboard: Here the sales can be linked to the Accounts, so add the attributes of the Accounts.<br \/>\n<strong>4<\/strong>. Repeat the step 3 of providing alias as mentioned above.<br \/>\nAfter adding the query on the Maplytics dashboard form:<br \/>\nSelect Summary grouping \u2013 postal codes<br \/>\nMeasure \u2013 The logical name of the attribute Sales. In this case, the logical name is new_sales.<br \/>\nThese options will show the data on the basis of Postal codes and for the attribute measure of Sales respectively as shown in the following screenshot.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6120\" style=\"border: 1px solid #0a0a0a; padding: 1px; margin: 1px;\" title=\"Dynamics CRM Map Integration\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maplytics.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/14Steps-to-create-queries-for-Maplytics-dashboards-of-your-Dynamics-CRM-data.png\" alt=\"Dynamics CRM Map Integration\" width=\"1174\" height=\"633\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is how the one can create Maplytics dashboard records to view the data into four parameters. Now these Maplytics dashboard records are to be combined together in one CRM dashboard as mentioned in the blog. User has to enter the name of the Maplytics dashboard in Custom parameter.
